David Neylan, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

David Neylan is executive vice president and chief operating officer. He is responsible for Guild’s production operations, loan administration, correspondent lending, and Consumer Direct Lending and Financial Institution Services (FIS) divisions. He also oversees Guild’s customer retention efforts, and has helped establish the company as an industry leader in this area.

Mr. Neylan was named chief operating officer in early 2020 after holding the position of senior vice president of business development. He was instrumental in developing Guild’s national Correspondent Lending channel in 2011, while overseeing the Consumer Direct channel and the FIS group that supports small to midsize credit unions, community and regional banks.

Before joining Guild in 2007, Mr. Neylan managed local branch, regional and national third-party origination divisions at CMG Mortgage. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in finance and is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and California Mortgage Bankers Association.
