We’re making a difference.

Our passion for home and community extends to our charitable giving.

Guild is devoted to the communities in which we live and work. We support dozens of local and national charities through direct donations and company-supported volunteer hours. Here are just a few examples of how Guild Giving strengthens local communities.

Blue Star Mothers

Guild’s branch office in Eagle, Idaho partners with Blue Star Mothers, a nonprofit organization for mothers of U.S. military members, to send care packages to local troops serving abroad. The Eagle office collects items such as snacks and hygiene products, builds care packages, and includes a special thank you card in each. Their local chapter of Blue Star Mothers then delivers the boxes to local active military deployed overseas.

Through its ongoing care package program, the Eagle branch is proud to help keep up morale and express to our troops how grateful we are for their service.

K.I.D.S. and Youth Oasis

Guild’s branch office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, joined the fun last January at the annual Red Stick Roux Rally Gumbeaux Cook-off, hosted by Karing is Doing Something (K.I.D.S.) to benefit Youth Oasis, a local nonprofit youth shelter for runaway, abandoned, abused and homeless youth ages 10-25. K.I.D.S. is a nonprofit promoting positive intervention for disadvantaged children in the greater Baton Rouge area.

The Guild office’s efforts helped to raise $25,000 for Youth Oasis. Their patriotic-themed gumbo booth also supported the Just Cause Flag Campaign, a nonprofit that sells framed American flags for $500 and allows the purchaser to direct 100% of the funds to one of six nonprofit military support organizations.

San Diego Food Bank

Employees of Guild’s corporate and branch offices in San Diego, California, volunteered at the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank last year, packaging boxes of food for seniors in need. According to the organization, more than 475,000 San Diegans live in poverty, and residents of all ages struggle with hunger.

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County, distributing 22 million pounds of food in 2015. They work to acquire, store, organize and distribute food through a network of 330 nonprofit organizations, including food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless and residential shelters, youth programs, senior centers, and low-income daycare centers in communities throughout San Diego County.
